I earlier had quite a lot to say
Seems now my words have melted all away
You'll see them in a pile there on the floor
You'll see them when you open up the door

You'll wonder why I had to write it down
You'll wonder till you read it, then you'll frown
The sense it doesn't make will baffle you
But the things it doesn't say were never true

I painted you a picture with my words
The space was negative to the absurd
You'll look until you find what you don't see
You'll look until you don't find you and me

I hope you'll take these papers as a gift
Delight in the revealing of the myth
That anything is what it seems to be
You'll see the man you loved, he wasn't me

Now I know what I don't know and I can tell
That the the good is just as bad as the well
That's what I tell myself so I can sleep
When I think about the tears that you will weep
When you read the words I tried so hard to keep

I earlier had quite a lot to say
Seems now my words have melted all away
